Making Neutral Grays Work Perfectly in Your Room
At this point, the neutral gray color trend has been around for quite a while. Yet, they don’t seem to be fading in 2021. One of the most important reasons is this:
From warm brown-grays to cool blue-grays to vibrant red-grays the design potential is ENORMOUS! Grays are great tools.
One of the best ways to work with gray in your home is to partner it with fresh, natural wood tones. It works every time.
This picture really makes the point. The Hudson table in spalted primavera adds such a fresh naturalness to this room. The room just looks inviting.
Just a bit of wood tone here warms up and lightens the gray color trend.
Medium finished woods work the same way. Again, the gray color trend works perfectly with wood tones.
The wood tones in this room come from the Francesca wood base, the rich finish on the Ryan coffee table and the Silas chairs. Not to mention the wood ceiling beams. They all play off the neutral gray base fabric on the Francesca.
Wood warmth comes from the trim on the Kent sofa plus the cocktail table in the foreground.
Bedrooms too. A medium dark finish on these Dune end tables really adds the richness to this bedroom.
Gray floors, gray rug and gray art work perfectly with the wood finish (and lovely texture) of the Raffael Desk.
The wood in this room is quite subtle, but important. The wood legs on the Belair sofa are wonderful.
