My client, Nancy, recently purchased a new home in Adel. She completely remodeled the home to give it a much-needed contemporary update. All the dark trim was painted white with light gray walls, new carpet and flooring throughout. Modern black accents and light fixtures were added. Now she needed an interior design that reflected her updated remodel
Nancy had brought her furniture from her old house – but she knew it was going to fall short of all the work she had done on the remodel. That’s when she stopped into BY DESIGN and we started working together on a fresh look.
LIVING ROOM
Nancy wanted to be sure she had enough seating in her new living room for when her family comes to visit. We also needed to allow room for her piano to remain in the space.
How do we give Nancy a light and airy look, yet maintain livability? Performance Fabrics! Their stain-shedding property means we can choose these wonderful, light fabrics. The next step is to complete the look with new end tables and lamps.
DINING ROOM
Nancy also needed a new dining room solution to allow for large family gatherings.
The Omnia dining table fit the bill perfectly. The durable ceramic glass top finish is beautiful with its knockout contemporary style. With seating for 10 around the table plus 3 new barstools, Nancy’s new dining room design makes the most of her space.
I think we were really successful in creating an interior design for a updated remodel. Now its hard to imagine this home any other way!
Thank you Nancy for entrusting me with your new furniture design. It is beautiful and we hope you enjoy it for many years to come!
