Here are the top 3 interior design trends our designers noticed at the recent High Point Furniture Market.
1. Whimsical
From new interesting patterns to unique accessories, this market showed us a lot of fun ways to insert some out of the box elements into designs.
What’s more playful than a sculpture of your favorite dog breed in gold leaf? This Great Dane by Phillips Collection really drew a lot of attention.
Norwalk Furniture introduced many new fabrics with bold patterns and colors which are perfect for adding playful accents to a room as pillows or showcasing in a large way like on the Twilight custom headboard.
Perhaps one of the biggest Spring 2023 market trends we noticed was the use of color in a big way. Highlighted beautifully by American Leather’s display of their Comfort Air chairs.
2. Form Meets Function
One challenge we often hear from clients is the need for their space to function the way they need but still look beautiful. We’re seeing a lot of our vendors tackle these needs in new and exciting ways.
Another stunning design by American Leather includes the Style-in-Motion Telluride series with optional consoles. These uniquely beautiful consoles feature a storage compartment and a flat wood surface with an integrated wireless charger. Not into the console idea? That’s okay! You can still enjoy the comfort and beauty of the Style-in-Motion collection by building your own modular sofa, sectional, or chair.
The new Linq bedroom collection by BDI was also a stand out among spring 2023 market trends. The headboard features an integrated power strip for device charging as well as ambient lighting. 3. Highly Textured Fabrics
Texture, texture, texture! It continues to be in huge demand. It’s a great way to add comfort to your upholstery in unexpected ways.
