Achieving Your Pastel Look

By using pastels, you can easily overlay different colors and get a beautiful outcome. You can really throw it all together and still be successful! From jewel tones turned muted, to eye catching earth tones, your pastel palette is endless! But now I bet you are wondering, how do I make pastel color scheme interior design look intentional?

For a bright and fresher look, you can pair pastels with neutrals like white, cream, and lighter wood tones. For a warmer look with pastels, increase the warmth of the wood tones and accenting furniture. Now if you are desiring a strong look, it may be in your favor to heighten the amount of pastel color by using it on your furniture and not just as accessories. Another way you can achieve this is by allowing yourself to go drastic in certain areas. Switch between a beautiful pastel wallcovering in one room, and in the room connect, have a strong solid and neutral wall color with a strong pastel presence through your furniture upholstery.

To top it all off, layer your color! Don’t just stick with one pastel, use multiple! Even if you are sticking to a certain color you love, such as a pastel blue, you can pair this with a pastel green through a throw blanket or pillow to add importance and a visual texture to your primary color.

Most of all when creating your pastel color scheme interior design, have fun playing in pastels! It can be a different way to customize your look and live a life full of expressive color.
