My husband and I are building our dream home for us and our 6-year old son. We have spent a great deal of time to get the layout just right, but we knew that the interior finishes were equally important to make a house a home. Building a house can feel like an additional full-time job so the thought of finding a designer that could make our lives easy and know what fits our style, seemed daunting. But that is when we found Laura Beeler. I had seen a commercial recently that talked about the fact you didn’t have to be rich to shop at By Design, coupled with remembering my sister-in-law had purchased a whole room and enjoyed the experience – I thought, why not call and see what could come of it. We phoned for an appointment and were fortunate to be set up with Laura. We met with her initially to show her our floor plan and describe our style. She then asked if she could see our existing house and what we like about it. Then, even in the snow, she came out to the construction site and walked the new house with us. We shared some pictures we liked on Houzz and met with her again. After a total of about 4-6 hours and 3 meetings with Laura, she delivered in excess of our expectations. We fell in love with the choices she gave us and were delighted with the experience. We are still working with her as my husband and I move along in the building process. While we could go shopping ourselves, our lives are busy and Laura has made a dreaded process for me and my husband, simply enjoyable and affordable.
