Clean Lines and Refined Design Taste

Sandy and Gaylord live in a beautiful home. Only their dog lives with them, but they have frequent visits from kids and grand-kids.  They had renovated their kitchen — and needed their living room to reflect the new modern/traditional mix. They have very refined taste and like clean lines.

They currently had comfortable, over-sized leather furniture. It wasn’t quite on the mark of how they wanted to live. They had picked out inspirational photos and brought them into the store. (This is so helpful in getting a project off the ground). The challenges and our goals:

  • This is the first room you see when you enter.  They want the room to feel very stylish — yet be very comfortable and inviting.
  • They have very refined taste and love clean lines.
  • She wanted gray-toned furniture to work with her taupe walls.
  • They wanted a room that looked comfortably elegant and just a bit more formal.dexter_sofa_mikayla_ottoman

The arrangement is all about featuring the gorgeous windows and the focal point fireplace.Trevor_ottomans

We used two Trevor ottomans with a fabric that has the look of the bark from a birch tree.  This re-emphasizes the woodsy view through the windows — a favorite aspect of this room design for Sandy.Dexter sofa Mikayla ottoman

Sandy is very happy with the design.  In addition to the ottomans, she feels we chose the perfect sofa.  The beautiful tailoring on the Dexter sofa continues right around to showcase elegant details on it’s back.  It’s a great choice for a sofa the floats in the middle of a room.

It was a real pleasure working with Sandy and Gaylord.  After all, that is where the elegance and style began!
