Two New Classic Chair Designs

Two favorite chairs are back at by Design

I’m so excited that to have my 2 favorite chairs back on the by Design floor. The McCartney is a wonderful contemporary take on the classic wing chair. I’m far from the alone in my opinion: The McCartney was featured a few years ago in Elle Decor as best new take on the classic design. I love it and have put this chair in both traditional and contemporary settings. That’s versatility.

My second favorite chair is the Cole chair. It also is a contemporary take on the classic wing. The Cole’s somewhat lower silhouette gives it a mid-century look it which is so popular today. But, like the McCartney, it has a timeless quallity that will last many years. The designer, Goodman Charlton, is known for his simple, classic style. See more of his designs at Goodman Charlton.

Here’s why I think these designs are important to you. They are so well executed that they can become the new classic… the design by which others are measured. These chairs will look updated and contemporary in your room. But even more important, they will look that way for years to come.
