I was so excited to hear that by Design was adding Calligaris (part of our Euro Contemporary Collection) to our lines (and in fact devoting a whole room to it at our store in Clive). As soon as it became available, I ordered a piece for my Johnston home. Perhaps my story will resonate with you.
I have searched for a cabinet that would provide a large amount of storage. Since we downsized to a new home, I’ve never had enough space in our kitchen for some dishes given to me by my grandmother. I have a fairly contemporary style, and I just hadn’t found the right look with the right space.
So I scoured Calligaris’s large catalog and found the Seattle 4 door buffet. Seattle’s sleek rectangular body shape is completed with four doors that open up into three cabinets. They provide ample space for dishes, serving pieces, accessories, and even grandmother’s dishes. I love how the hardware-free surface gives a smooth, sleek appearance while push-pull doors offer easy accessibility.
Crafted in Italy, the Seattle design is available in different lengths and shapes to fit many rooms. Plus, there are several different finish options. As you can see, I chose white with a steel base.
