Making a modern statement

My client Amy came to me looking for a couple of gorgeous occasional chairs for her living room. Her goal was to maximize seating while making a statement. She also wanted to add a little privacy to her room since her front doors are made of glass.

Amy already had a rug and sectional in the room, so the chairs had to work with those pieces. She also wanted to bring some texture and color to her room…the rest of the furniture and accessories were white or cream colored.

We also thought it would be fun to have a faux leather look to match her shelving – and Amy has very modern taste (just like I do!) so we knew that a faux metallic leather would be gorgeous.

We picked a really cool acrylic end table for between the chairs – I wanted something fun and light and airy to balance out the square solid chairs. We also added another acrylic drink table to the mix for balance.

Amy loved how this room turned out – and so do I! The reclining aspect of the chairs makes them so nice for when Amy is enjoying her room with her family – and the large size of the chairs makes them great for entertaining because two people can fit on each chair if need be.

The beautiful faux leather metallic fabric on these chairs is absolutely beautiful and looks amazing with the rest of her furniture. And the chrome legs give them that modern look that we both love.
