My latest design installation proves that furniture doesn’t have to be boring! The best part of my job is when we deliver the furniture and the client squeals in delight – it makes everything so worthwhile!
I helped Stephanie and Ted design the cool, one-of-a-kind sitting area off of the living room of their Des Moines home. They wanted a cozy area to read, sip wine or entertain small groups.
The cozy Zoey cuddle chairs seat one or two people and are especially inviting with the curly lamb fabric we chose. The Marie chairs have an attitude all their own with a Mid-century modern look and animal print fabric.They invite you to sit upright on them or even fling a leg over the arm to relax. We created a space with cool chairs and fun fabric that gives them the WOW factor they were looking for!
Stephanie and Ted had these gorgeous stained glass pieces in their sitting room already and it would be natural to think that you wouldn’t want interesting furniture to compete with them. But…after lots of trial and error, we came up with the perfect combination of furniture and fabrics.
I’m so glad we didn’t do boring furniture that was safe and easily overlooked. I continue to love my job when I get to work with fun clients like these!
