Amy came to me looking for a sectional that would accommodate a large space in her lower level. She wanted to maximize seating and not feel like she’s cutting off her room with it. I have worked with her on many projects before, so she already trusted me to nail her style!
We decided on the Corbin sectional from American Leather was the perfect fit for her space! Not only was it comfortable, and a large scale but it also had a lower back so that her and her family could easier conversate with people anywhere in the room. The Corbin sectional has beautiful tufting which added some great texture to the room.
She wanted the back pillows to be soft and comfy so that people could actually use them to lay on. We went with two different pillow fabrics. First, an Ultra Suede to give a lot of comfort. Second, a patterned fabric we loved for the room. The pattern added more texture to the room while also pulling the colors from her chairs that the sectional needed to correlate with.
The only requirements for her rug was for it to be soft to walk on. We found an amazing rug that had tremendous comfort. I choose a soft gray color so that the sectional would be a nice contrast with it.
We chose to do a 3 piece sectional. This size maximized her seating while still being a great scale for the room. We anchored her sectional nicely with a 13′ X 13′ rug. We still have end tables and lamps to work on. Amy just loves her new sectional and how inviting the room is now! It was so much fun working with her on another project.
