When Jayne stopped into BY DESIGN she was looking for comfortable furniture to refurnish and refresh the lower level of her Clive home. Our challenge was to find pieces that compliment the colorful and sunny walk out basement. She had a lot of space to fill and a few existing pieces to coordinate with (including a wonderful orange Lilly ottoman previously purchased at BY DESIGN and a red-orange leather chair and ottoman).
We were replacing a curved sofa which had fit the space nicely. Our popular Kaden wedge sectional stepped into it’s place beautifully, offering even more seating. The champagne leather is a versatile neutral that offers durability for lounging and entertaining.
We covered the Stephanie Swivel gliders in a multi-colored tweed. It reads neutral from a distance – but when you get closer – shows off all the warm colors in the room. Stephanie swivel gliders are a stylish and comfy addition to any room.
A new set of pillows also reinforces all of the colors in the room. A charcoal shag rug grounds everything and feels super plush under foot.
