Transforming From Traditional to Modern

Before: A beautiful curved sofa with pleated skirt.
Before: Decorative credenza

What a transformation this is from traditional to modern! You’re first invited into this room with this beautiful asymmetrical console table. The new reclining leather sectional anchors the area with swivel chairs on either side.  The shape echoes the angles in the room and is more conversational too.

The new art on and around the fireplace makes it a great focal point (and doesn’t take away from the gorgeous view!) The four smaller prints visually unite with the central for greater impact.

The height of the new etagere creates some interest on an ordinary wall and will display family mementos. The angular lines and varying spaces give a sense of motion to the room. My clients are looking forward to gathering with family in their Johnston home… and I think this will become a favorite room in the house.
