Current Passion: Using Stone Patterns in Design

Design Details: Stone Patterns

Stone patterns in design is a trend we can really get behind at by Design! Walk our floor and you’ll see so many cool accent tables in stone or faux stone finishes.

One of the reasons we like this trend so much is adding stone patterns to your decor is a great way to bring the outdoors in. It’s also an interesting way to add depth and break up only having wood or metal accents in your home. Stone is also super durable – which is why you’ve seen tile made to look like hardwood floors lately. It’s a natural material that can really stand up to the test of time and use.

Another interesting way to embrace this trend is with a marble backsplash…or wallpaper in a faux stone look.  These rooms look natural and organic, yet modern and sleek at the same time.

Stone or Stone Look Dining Tables

Dining tables are also taking on the faux stone look – we have a couple options that are even extendable. Add some great modern chairs and this look goes sleek and cool, add some pretty upholstered chairs and this look goes more transitional.

Stone Look Rugs

Adding stone patterns to a rug is a softer way to embrace this trend.

Texture is so important to good design. It gives your room depth and interest and adding stone/stone looking accents is a really fun and unique way to do so.

Stop by our furniture store to see all the different ways we use stone in our designs.  We love to redecorate around here, so we’re always adding new pieces and rearranging our floor. There’s always something new to see at by Design!
