One of our favorite vendors, Norwalk Furniture, has created the video above to show how their beautiful Amelie sofa is made.
The first step when you work with a designer at by Design furniture store in Des Moines is to draw your floorplan. Then, we talk about your style and your needs for the room. After that, the designer helps you pick out a sofa or sectional frame that suits your style and your family. When you’ve decided on the main piece, accent pieces (like chairs, coffee tables, lamps, rugs, etc) are chosen. Next, you move on to our amazing fabric wall. Our designer will help you pick out the perfect fabric combination for all your upholstery pieces – whether it be leather or fabric, our selection is unbelievable. Once you’ve agreed on the design of the room, we order the upholstery pieces to be custom made just for you from one of our many upholstery vendors based in America.
The video above shows how the classic, yet cool, Amelie sofa is made from start to finish in the Norwalk Furniture showroom. From finishing the wood, to building the frame, to stuffing the cushions, to sewing the fabric covers, to adding the special details you select…all aspects of this piece are completed by skilled craftsman with high attention to detail. by Design has carried Norwalk Furniture for over 30 years and will continue to do so because of the high quality of their furniture and fabrics.
