Eclectic Collector? What does that mean?

A new Design Style on our floor: Eclectic Collector

We’re all excited to have the new Sawyer group on the floor. We’ve done it in the design style that our design quiz calls “Eclectic Collector”. This is a free-spirited, collected look. Free-spirited meaning not bound by rules. Collected meaning lovingly choosing individual (rather than a set) of pieces over time. That is the essence of an Eclectic Collector.

Color is key in any room, and vivid color works really well with this look. The Sawyer sofa is shown here in vibrant red. Sawyer was designed by Kim Salmela and features scatter back pillows, a recessed contemporary natural oak base and large arm pillows. It provided a gorgeous foundation element for this room.

FREE-SPIRITED DESIGN

Berklely-ottoman-detail

The Berkley ottoman, also designed by Kim Salmela, features jumbo welts, tufted top and turned wood legs. The Berkley oozes individualism and personality.

What a cool chair. We covered the Nash in a warm leather and we love the diagonal application on the sides and back. The wood sled base brings a contemporary feel into the mix. Very cool.

We added the new Norah chair (yup, Kim once again). We loved the curvy and flaired arms and back. The long, turned wood legs add a bit of mid-century-modern to the mix. Wait till you touch the fabric. It has a wonderful, soft hand.

A COLLECTED LOOK

Kelby-sideboard

The Kelby credenza has carved, mango wood doors that add an artisan touch to the group. And we would be remiss not to mention the Loloi rug that so vividly ties everything together.
